While it may seem something of a bad sci-fi, it has become our reality. American doctors, in accordance with the regulations of WHO, developed a document to decide who will live and who will be allowed to die when the swine flu pandemic strikes the most of North America.
When swine flu has America in its grip of death, medical care – including: respiratory vaccines to doctors and nurses themselves – will become scarce. Thus, a working group of members from prestigious universities, medical groups and government agencies (the Department of Homeland Security, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Health and Social Services, and World Health Organization) has compiled a list of people who were not treated.
Those of us most affected by this decision can easily see this as an attempt to “play God” from the doctors who were willing to ignore their Hippocratic oath, but Asha Devereaux, a critical care physician and lead author of the report of the working group, called the guidelines a plan “for hospitals so that everyone will think the same way.”
It is recommended that each hospital to choose a triage team to decide who will receive lifesaving treatment and that will not be, but guidelines already provides those who are deprived of care. They include: age
People 85
People with severe trauma, such as serious injuries from car accidents and shootings
severely burned patients older than 60
People with severe mental illness such as advanced disease
d’alzheimer People with chronic diseases serious conditions such as advanced heart failure, lung disease or poorly controlled diabetes
Others who are at high risk of death or have a low chance of survival in the long term would also unlikely to receive medical care.
The guidelines will clearly be a violation of the laws against age discrimination and disability, according to public health law expert Lawrence Gostin of Georgetown University. Gostin also called the report “a political minefield and legal.”
Although most experts agree that health care, in fact, must be rationed once swine flu infections begin, the current list will essentially distinguish poor blacks, Mexicans, homosexuals, non-English speaking peoples and all those who are generally considered undesirable in America. Because in addition to this list, the triage team, in its discretion decide on millions of others who will be arbitrarily deprived of medical care.
As for when the guidelines are implemented, members of the task force said it was only a matter of time. Five pandemic alert phase means that a pandemic has infected millions of deaths and death is imminent. It will happen!
According to Michael Leavitt, W. Department of Health and Social Services:
“Forty million people died when the last major flu pandemic swept the world in 1918. We have seen two less severe pandemics since then. We will probably see another point in the future.
We do not know when, and we do not know how it will be. But we know that it will happen sooner or later and that what we do now will save lives – maybe millions of lives – in the future. “
How did this happen? How did we get to the point where we left a virus designed to be released on an unsuspecting public – while facing imminent death – we are told that our work is to die.
